Supports in Employment
If you are a person with a disability, who would like to work, make friends, earn money and become more independent, then Self Help Workplace might be the place for you.
Self Help Workplace has a range of different jobs, which include working with timber, working in the kitchen, selling second hand clothes, helping businesses with things like document shredding, mail-outs, and helping people to keep their gardens neat and tidy.
We set a personal employment plan for every employee that looks at training needs and the type of jobs each employee wants to do.
You will be encouraged and supported to learn new skills for work and home. This might be: learning how to prepare food, maintain a kitchen garden, working in a team, reading and writing, being safe at work and operating machinery safely.
You can apply to work with us if you:
- are eligible for the NDIS
- have employment supports in your plan
- are past the legal school leaving age
- need support to work productively
