Self Help Workplace’s Prime Timber Production is a fully equipped timber production facility operating in Launceston with capacity to send timber products all around Tasmania and interstate.
Our large, modern, safe and professional manufacturing facility can help your business with an extensive range of pine and hardwood products of any quantity.
Our product range includes: pallets, survey pegs, garden stakes and produce bins. We can also dock your timber and make customised products such as wooden stands and specialised crating to send your valuable products interstate or overseas.
Crates & Bins
Our production team can manufacture a variety of crates and bins for a myriad of uses and industries including; agriculture, viticulture, storage and freight. Send us your specifications and we will provide you with a no obligation quote.
If crates are required for international export, we can also offer a fumigation service (ISPM 15) or AWPCS certified heat treatment to comply with Australian Export Regulations.

Pallets
Our hardwood pallets are manufactured to Australian standard sizes or can be custom made to order, and every pallet is quality guaranteed.
We can provide pallets in any quantity, size and combination as well as providing a cost-effective pallet repair service.
In according with Australian export regulations, we can arrange for your pallets to ISPM15 standard in full compliance with the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS).
Prime Timber Production is also certified under the Australian Wood Packaging Certification Scheme (AWPCS) to manufacture and supply heat treated pallets.
Survey Pegs
Our Prime Timber Production team manufacture a range of standard survey pegs from quality, graded hardwood, made to your specifications.
If you require any type of survey peg, pointed and painted in any colour, we can provide them in quantities from 10 to 10,000.
Garden Stakes
Our garden stakes are manufactured from quality rough sawn wood, pointed and packaged in bundles of 10 ready for your garden or project.
Stakes are available in the following sizes:
- 600mm (2ft)
- 900mm (3ft)
- 1200mm (4ft)
- 1500mm (5ft)
- 1800mm (6ft)
Other sizes can be manufactured to order.
Our garden stakes are available directly from our site or through many leading hardware shops and garden suppliers throughout Tasmania and the mainland.
